Franklin Music Boosters
ACTIVITIES
The activities of the Franklin Music Boosters can be broken into the following four categories:
- Music Program Enrichment and Supplemental Support
- Awards and Scholarships
- Concert Support
- Fund Raising
MUSIC PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT
Provide, alter and maintain High School Band Uniforms.
Make Band Camp possible.
Assist with Staff Development and Music Clinics.
Fund applicable Accompanists and Judges for various events - Concert Hour and MICCA are examples.
Supplement staffing requirements for additional music programs - Jazz Band II, Chamber Music.
AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Produce and fund the Music Awards for the Middle Schools and High School.
Award scholarships to deserving graduating Seniors.
Provide food and support for the Awards Night.
CONCERT SUPPORT
Staff the gate, sell refreshments, and offer a raffle at concerts.
Help provide transportation to off site concerts.
Produce the Ad Book for distribution at concerts.
Fund the creation and distribute CDs of concerts.
FUND RAISING
Donations, both private and corporate.
50-50 Raffle at home Football Games.
Advertisements in the Concert Ad Book.
Raffles at concerts.
Concert CD sales.
Refreshments at concerts.
Calendar Raffle.
Jazz Cafe
Other various fundraisers (dance-a-thon, wreaths, fruit, pies, flower bulbs, pizza).
